about

Daria Tchapanova is a research-led visual artist and filmmaker whose interdisciplinary practice spans film, photography, and mixed media. Her work explores socio-political structures, with a particular focus on power relations, systemic inequalities, and the ways these shape social realities. Drawing on her background in Visual Arts and Anthropology, she develops projects that merge artistic inquiry with critical social and political perspectives.

Working mainly in contemporary art contexts, Daria’s practice is collaborative and research-based. Through dialogue and exchange, she creates spaces for reflection and shared perspectives. These processes also inform her films, where different voices and experiences come together to explore the relationship between art, society, and everyday life in diverse social and cultural contexts.
